Care minister Paul Burstow has announced that 74 charities will be handed more than £6.8m to help improve local health and wellbeing.

The third-sector groups all submitted funding bids to the Department of Health and the winners include the Epilepsy Society, which will receive nearly £300,000 to promote early intervention programmes designed to tackle the condition.
