A cross-party group of MPs and peers has called on councils to improve the health of older people by encouraging more housing designed specifically for their needs.

A report by the All-Party Parliamentary Group on housing and care for older people, published on 21 November, calls on local authorities to seize the initiative and encourage private developers and social housing providers to build more homes designed especially for older people.
