The refurbishment of Norfolk CC’s civic centre won the council the Disability Confident award at The MJ Achievement Awards 2016.

As the saying goes, the best way to have empathy for other people's experiences in life is to spend some time in their shoes. This was the principle that drove Norfolk CC to win the Disability Confident award at The MJ Achievement Awards 2016.

When the council embarked on a significant repair and refurbishment project at County Hall, the team wanted to ensure the building was as fit for the future workforce as possible. This required a multimillion pound investment to work for the next 25 years.
