Devon CC has pledged to fight a legal ruling on care home fees, to save other local authorities from excess and costly red tape.

The local authority announced on 28 November it had lodged an appeal against a High Court ruling last month, which found the council acted unlawfully over setting care home fees because it had not given sufficient consideration to equalities.
