DfT's £225m fund to target carbon

The DfT this week announced local authority schemes that will receive funding for projects designed to reduce carbon emissions.

The Department for Transport this week announced local authority schemes that will receive funding for projects designed to reduce carbon emissions and create growth.

Local transport minister, Norman Baker, allocated £225m to 12 major projects, while 15 smaller schemes were handed £41m. In total, £600m has now been allocated through the Local Sustainable Transport Fund.
