Cheryl King-McDowall is new director of corporate services at the charity, Careers Development Group, which seeks to help those who are unemployed find and sustain meaningful employment.

Ms King-McDowall joins the group from the Local Government Improvement and Development (formerly IDeA). Her last two years in that position were spent on secondment to Barking and Dagenham LBC, supporting organisational change and leading the authority's corporate strategy and performance function.
