Julia Hassall, previously acting director of children's services at Wirral MBC, has been appointed to the key role of director of children's services at Wirral.

Ms Hassall, who has worked at Wirral MBC for 10 years, has held a variety of roles in children's social care, youth and play and youth offending services.
