Adult social care directors face a ‘fight' within their local authorities to have the cost of the Care Act funding reforms covered, one council chief has warned. 

Some councils, including Croydon, have been involved in testing the Government's financial modelling on new care act funding burdens. Mr Heynes continued: ‘We hope that it will significantly influence what is put into the updated impact assessment.
