Disability funding under scrutiny

Local government leaders have called for a major change in the funding formula for people with learning and behaviour disabilities after a damning report highlighting the lack of action following the Winterbourne View hospital scandal.

Cllr Katie Hall, the Local Government Association's lead member for learning disabilities, said funding should ‘follow the individual' to ensure they received the best support possible.
