Districts to warn government over New Homes Bonus changes

District councils are expected to urge the Government not to mess with a scheme that acts as a ‘powerful incentive’ to build new homes.

District councils are expected to urge the Government not to mess with a scheme that acts as a ‘powerful incentive' to build new homes.

A draft consultation response by the District Councils' Network (DCN), seen by The MJ, said the New Homes Bonus (NHB) scheme was already a ‘shadow of its former self' and warned about proposed government changes.
