DoH provides £6m backing for volunteers

The Department of Health (DoH) has pledged £6m to support 13 volunteering projects in health and social care which reflect the Government’s commitment to modernising the NHS.

The Department of Health (DoH) has pledged £6m to support 13 volunteering projects in health and social care which reflect the Government's commitment to modernising the NHS.

Eligible organisations for the DoH health volunteering fund national awards were selected for excellence in one of four criteria – patient-led NHS; delivering better health outcomes; improving public health; or improving health and social care.
