The SCIE has published a new guide for councils to help them take over mental capacity responsibilities next year.

The Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) has published a new guide for councils to help them take over mental capacity responsibilities next year.

Local authorities will become responsible for Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) when primary care trusts are abolished in April 2013.
