The LGA has warned councils against using new data on early death rates to create a 'league table' of mortality.

The Local Government Association has warned councils against using new data on early death rates to create a 'league table' of mortality.

Public Health England (PHE) has created a new website – Longer Lives – which was launched this week. It compares early mortality rates for local authority areas, comparing figures for cancer, heart disease and stroke, liver disease and lung disease.
