Previously acting head of children's services at Aberdeenshire Council, Bob Driscoll has been appointed to the position on a permanent basis.

Mr Driscoll has been involved in social work in the north-east of Scotland for more than 20 years, during which time he has held the positions of team manager and social work manager at Aberdeenshire Council. He is taking up what is an extremely important role in terms of the care and protection of children and young people in the region.
