DUP gains most super council seats in Northern Ireland

The DUP has won the most number of councillors in the polls for the 11 new Northern Ireland ‘super councils’ held last week.

The DUP has won the most number of councillors in the polls for the 11 new Northern Ireland ‘super councils' held last week.

Some 462 seats were contested for the reformed councils, which will operate in shadow form before replacing the existing 26 authorities from 1 April 2015.
