DWP targets vulnerable youngsters with £7m deal

The DWP awards two social investment partnerships contracts to help young people in the Thames Valley and north-west England.

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has awarded two social investment partnerships contracts worth up to £7m, to help 2,500 vulnerable young people in the Thames Valley and the north-west of England.

Through social impact bond funding, the partnerships will receive outcome-based payments over the next three-and-a-half years for improving the employment prospects of 14 and 15-year-olds.
