Official statistics reveal East London residents finding it harder to secure employment than their West End counterparts.

London employment figures are below the national average with East London residents finding it harder to secure employment than their West End counterparts, official statistics have revealed.

According to new TUC analysis of Jobcentre Plus data, the average across London in July was nine job seekers for every available job, compared to a British average of six per vacancy.
