Tandridge is becoming known in the Far East, having played host to a delegation from Japan and, more recently, a senior delegation of Chinese civil servants.

Led by China's director of governance and community development from the ministry of civil affairs, the group visited Tandridge as part of an EU-funded training programme on village governance. The delegation included senior civil servants from the department of international trade and economic affairs, the ministry of commerce, and the ministry of civil affairs, as well as the EU-China training programme on village governance and supported by the local government international bureau.
