Kevin Foster has been named as chief operating officer for East Sussex CC's new business services department which includes finance, ICT and property services. It will be formally launched in September.

Mr Foster previously worked for Sheffield City Council as director of transformation services and performance. 'It was always going to take a truly inspiring organisation and fantastic job opportunity to tempt me to move from Sheffield,' he said. 'And the chief operating officer post at East Sussex CC was that opportunity.'
