The East Midlands is the region that people forget is there, says the leader of Nottingham City Council Jon Collins.

It is certainly a region traditionally overshadowed by its neighbours in the West and one that has been slower at making its devolutionary mark than the so-called ‘Northern Powerhouses' beyond its borders.
