As Ashes fever gathers pace, Eastleigh BC announced it would plough £30m into creating the country's ‘newest test match venue' at The Rose Bowl cricket ground at the West End.

The money will be spent on building a new hotel and conference centre at the site, creating 200 jobs and generating £20m a year for the local economy.
