Just one in seven Britons rate their economy as in ‘good' health – indicating there is a long way to go before the Government achieves its aim of restoring economic confidence across the country.

According to a poll by Ipsos MORI, the British rank far behind Swedes (76%), Australians (73%) and Germans (68%) when it comes to confidence in the national economy. Brits ranked alongside Italians (14%) and the French (11%) in the international poll
