Edinburgh's next chapter

The last 15 months have emphasised the City of Edinburgh Council’s strengths as an organisation, says Andrew Kerr. He reviews what has been achieved and looks ahead at the future strategic priorities for its workforce and the city.

As we navigate our way through what we all hope are the latter stages of the pandemic, I can honestly say I have never been prouder to be at the helm of the City of Edinburgh Council.

Despite this inordinate pressure, we've more than risen to the challenge – adapting frontline services to ensure we're looking after our most vulnerable citizens and pulling together across teams as never before, to help us recover and build back better from the crisis – while supporting the wider city to do the same.
