Edinburgh City Council’s chief executive has lashed out at a partner for failing to address safety concerns two years after schools in the city were gripped with fear about faulty construction.

Edinburgh City Council's chief executive has lashed out at a partner for failing to address safety concerns two years after schools in the city were gripped with fear about faulty construction.

The council recently found defects in Oxgangs Primary School's roof and ceilings in a proactive inspection, even though the Edinburgh Schools Partnership (ESP) said other related issues had been resolved.
