Edinburgh unveils £1bn city region deal plans

Edinburgh and South East Scotland have laid out their plans for a city deal to both the Westminster and Scottish Governments today.

Edinburgh and South East Scotland have laid out their plans for a city deal to both the Westminster and Scottish Governments today. 

The city region, which consists of East Lothian, the City of Edinburgh, Fife, Midlothian, Scottish Borders and West Lothian councils, aims to secure £1bn of funding under the deal and it is estimated that an additional £3.2bn of private sector investment could be leveraged.
