The Council Tax system has been a political hot potato ever since its introduction in 1993. Many would argue that fundamental reform is long overdue. Either way we can be sure that the pressure on the Council Tax system will continue to mount as a result of everchanging political and socio-economic priorities – not least as the country prepares for Brexit.
