Having a directly elected mayor has led to more visible leadership in Bristol, according to a new academic study.

In a report published today, the Bristol Civic Leadership Project, led by the University of Bristol and the University of the West of England, found almost two thirds (69%) of local residents thought the city had visible leadership, compared to just 24% in 2012 before the post was introduced.
