The Core Cities Summit in Glasgow this week was a tribute to how far local government has come in such a short space of time.

Just over a year ago, the Core Cities met in London. Largely focused on finance and economic growth, it set the agenda for the year ahead, with Core Cities chair Sir Richard Leese proving what can be achieved with the Devo Manc deal.
