Devolution is likely to be back on the priority agenda should the Conservatives win the next general election according to the former No 10 chief of staff to Theresa May.
Gavin Barwell, a former housing minister until he lost his seat in the 2017 general election when he became chief of staff to then Prime Minister Theresa May, told a Resolution Foundation think tank seminar: ‘I think this Prime Minister is much more about George Osborne's vision of devolution than May. We will get a new emphasis on devolution of the Conservatives win.'
