Call to end private sector 'ambiguity' in standards

A government watchdog has called for people in the private sector delivering public services to be held to the same ethical standards as their public sector counterparts.

A government watchdog has called for people in the private sector delivering public services to be held to the same ethical standards as their public sector counterparts.

The Committee on Standards in Public Life issued a report on 17 January warning of a ‘growing area of ambiguity' occupied by contractors who are working under new models of service delivery, such as commissioning or outsourced arrangements.
