Enfield LBC has urged health secretary, Andrew Landsley, to secure the long-term future of services at Chase Farm and North Middlesex hospitals to ensure they meet local needs, following a public outcry.

Enfield LBC has urged health secretary, Andrew Landsley, to secure the long-term future of services at Chase Farm and North Middlesex hospitals to ensure they meet local needs, following a public outcry.

Council leader, Doug Taylor, said any proposals which did not retain 24/7, consultant-led A&E, and women's and children's services at both hospitals ‘will not satisfy public opinion'.
