An influential panel of MPs has called on ministers and policy experts preparing next year's general election manifestos to give England the same degree of fiscal devolution as Scotland as Wales.

Chair of the Committee, Clive Betts, said: ‘The MJ's own ‘Campaign for Fiscal Freedom' has highlighted the overwhelming need for more financial freedoms to help local authorities grow their economies.'
