English MPs to get veto

All English and Welsh MPs are to get a veto over matters that affect them under government plans announced yesterday.

All English and Welsh MPs are to get a veto over matters that affect them under government plans announced yesterday.

Under the proposals, English MPs will have the right to veto any measures that only affect them and have been devolved to the Scottish Parliament, the Welsh or Northern Ireland Assemblies.
