Let's ensure the sector gets heard above the post-election hubbub

To get its voice heard by an incoming government, the sector should unite around the main themes - including funding, national policies for both adults and children's services, place-making, infrastructure and more, says Anthony May.

As we head towards the conclusion of the General Election, any incoming Government will be greeted with an inbox full of competing demands. So, how will the voice of local government be heard above the hubbub?

The sector would be well-served by pulling together around the main themes – some now age-old, and some more contemporary.
