Support services company Enterprise has completed its takeover of rival local government contractor, Accord.
Following the merger of the two companies, it has been announced that Accord chairman, Stelio Stefanou, and chief financial officer, Adam Shutkever, will leave the business immediately.
‘We should be proud of what has been achieved at Accord,' said Mr Stefanou. ‘I am especially pleased that Enterprise has bought the company and will provide the resources and scale needed to develop our success further.'
The deal was announced in July, and the combined company is now the largest supplier of maintenance services to local authorities in the UK. Enterprise works with Liverpool City Council and Wolverhampton City Council, among others, while Accord has contracts with Oxfordshire CC and Gloucester City Council.
‘There is an extensive programme for integration that will ensure there is no interruption to the delivery of services to all existing customers,' said Enterprise's public sector maintenance division managing director, Martin Joyce. ‘The programme will also ensure employees of both companies can remain focused on providing essential public services.'
