Envoys sent in to Tower Hamlets

Local government minister Jim McMahon has sent three envoys in to improve Tower Hamlets LBC following last year’s Best Value inspection.

Local government minister Jim McMahon has sent three envoys in to improve Tower Hamlets LBC following last year's Best Value inspection.

Former Newham LBC chief executive Kim Bromley-Derry, who led the inspection in 2024, has been appointed as the lead envoy, alongside Birmingham City Council commissioner Pam Parkes and Sandwell MBC chief executive Shokat Lal as assistant envoys.
