Equal pay claims cost seaside council over £32m

It has been revealed equal pay claims by staff at Brighton and Hove City Council has cost more than £32m to settle so far.

Equal pay claims by staff at Brighton and Hove City Council have cost the authority more than £32m to settle so far, it has been revealed.

Following an investigation by The Argus paper, the eye-watering bill for the 'proactive settlements' was laid bare, although insiders say it could get even higher.
