A local government political expert has warned council electoral registration officers (ERO) have ‘had their day’ working in a system ‘wide open’ to fraud.

Speaking to The MJ, Political Skills Forum director, Paul Wheeler, warned councils had been ‘defeated' by an electoral registration process which was costing the country ‘millions' yet delivering ‘poor' results.
