The £4bn Essex Pension Fund will receive a trophy for being public sector scheme of the year at an awards ceremony next month.

The Essex fund, which is administered by the county council, has more than 120,000 scheme members. Fund chairman Cllr Rodney Bass said: ‘The Essex Pension Fund is committed to ensuring it provides an excellent service for all of its members. I am delighted that these efforts have rightly been recognised in these prestigious awards.
