NHS leaders have been blasted for delivering ‘mixed messages' over funding for social care services following local disputes over Better Care Fund (BCF) cash.

Speaking after NHS England chief executive Simon Stevens said there was a ‘strong argument' any extra funding over the next few years ‘should be going to social care,' former care minister Norman Lamb accused the organisation of double standards.
