Oldham MBC could build on the success of its collective energy-switching campaign by expanding community procurement services to include school uniforms and house insurance.

Cllr Jim McMahon, Labour leader of Oldham, told The MJ a move into collective insurance programmes was first considered in the wake of a tragic local gas explosion on 26 June this year.
