Ministers are poised to boost the UK's flagging economy by removing a restrictive cap on infrastructure investments made by the giant Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).

Ministers are poised to boost the UK's flagging economy by removing a restrictive cap on infrastructure investments made by the giant Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).

The MJ understands the DCLG will shortly consult on the removal of a 15% cap on the amount council pension funds can invest in limited partnerships – the asset vehicle often used for major property, private equity and infrastructure projects.
