Districts face a ‘fiscal cliff edge of up to £524.1m after 2020/21 from lost business rates revenue gains and the end of New Homes Bonus, council treasurers have been warned.

On average, the loss of revenue is equivalent to 15.8% of shire districts' revenue expenditure in 2019/20, according to work carried out by consultancy LG Futures.
