A new ‘collaborative hub' to support councils improve electoral registers is at risk of being held back by the upcoming Spending Review, The MJ can reveal.

Minister for constitutional affairs, John Penrose, has confirmed the Cabinet Office is working to establish an ‘online academy' to support local authorities exchange ideas and ‘develop shared solutions'.
