Ministers have told local enterprise partnerships (LEP) they will redraw the boundary map early in 2020/21 if they fail to reach a deal on removing overlaps.

Ministers have told local enterprise partnerships (LEP) they will redraw the boundary map early in 2020/21 if they fail to reach a deal on removing overlaps.

The West Midlands is the only area that has failed to reach a consensus on new LEP boundaries – almost 20 months since they were asked to submit proposals to remove overlaps to ‘provide the necessary clarity of accountability for spending'.
