EXCLUSIVE: Oflog bandwagon rolls

Large-scale drive begins for local government office despite current squeeze on civil service recruitment.

The new Office for Local Government (Oflog) has launched a massive recruitment drive amid mission creep fears and frustration over poor engagement with the sector.

Among more than 30 jobs advertised by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC), there are up to four grade six roles for civil servants – who tend to be experienced officials with significant policy responsibilities – and a head of data and analysis.
