Councils are struggling to share key information with NHS trusts and Whitehall because guidance on secure email is being interpreted in a ‘silly' fashion, The MJ has learned.

The Government Digital Service (GDS) is understood to be aware of the issue, which is thought to be arising around incorrect interpretation of Whitehall guidance on secure email.
