More than 70% of voters think government should spend more on local services, according to a new report by the Association for Public Service Excellence (APSE).

More than 70% of voters think government should spend more on local services, according to a new report by the Association for Public Service Excellence (APSE).

The study of 1,500 voters, undertaken by Survation, found people preferred the Treasury to spend money on council services rather than large-scale infrastructure projects, which chancellor Philip Hammond committed £23bn to as part of last week's Autumn Statement.
