Torbay Council's employment committee is to recommend the appointment of Steve Parrock as the council's new executive director of operations and finance.

Mr Parrock, who is currently chief executive of the council's economic development company, Torbay Development Agency, was one of six shortlisted candidates who were interviewed in a two-day selection process.
