Expert mocks borough's hostility to LGPS merger

Wandsworth LBC's finance chiefs have been accused of advancing 'self-serving and misleading' arguments against plans to merge LGPS funds.

Wandsworth LBC's finance chiefs have been accused of advancing ‘self-serving and misleading' arguments against plans to merge Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) funds.

Currently, each London borough pays into its own LGPS fund, with councillors responsible for setting key policy decisions.
